Spectre

Wavesfactory Spectre is a multiband harmonic enhancer that pairs the familiar workflow of a parametric EQ with frequency-focused saturation. Rather than simply boosting existing frequencies, it adds harmonics to selected areas of your sound using five parallel bands. Choose from ten saturation algorithms per band, ranging from warm tube and smooth tape colours to harder digital clipping and bit crushing. Use it to give bass more presence on small speakers, add weight to drums, brighten dull recordings or bring character to buses and full mixes. A Clean mode turns Spectre into a parallel EQ, while mid/side processing offers scope for stereo enhancement. Optional 4x and 16x oversampling and three saturation intensity modes help you tailor the processing. It suits producers who want anything from gentle mastering colour to more obvious tonal reshaping without leaving an intuitive EQ-style workflow.
