LoudMax is a free look-ahead brickwall loudness maximizer designed to keep your music sounding natural even when pushed hard. It works as an output limiter for mastering, web radio, or any situation where you need to control peaks without smearing the original character of the mix. The plugin offers a simple threshold slider, an output level control, and clear metering for input, output, and gain reduction, with a peak-hold marker on the reduction meter. A link button ties the output slider to the threshold for easier gain staging, and an ISP mode adds inter-sample peak detection for true-peak limiting. Latency is just 1.25 ms (plus 6 samples with ISP), and release is automatic based on the incoming signal. It supports sample rates from 2 kHz to 384 kHz and runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux in VST, VST3, AU, and LADSPA formats. With very low CPU use and no audible distortion, LoudMax is a practical choice for hobby producers and anyone who needs a transparent limiter.
