SSL 4K B

The SSL 4K B plug-in is an authentic emulation of the legendary SL 4000 B-series console, the desk that shaped countless iconic recordings. This channel strip delivers the warm, punchy, and rich non-linear analogue character of the original, with detailed circuit modelling down to component level. It includes a Jensen JE-115K-E transformer mic pre, dbx ‘black can’ VCA fader, and a musical EQ that foreshadowed the Brown Knob design. The compressor is unique, based on the Bus Compressor with peak detection and feedback VCA sidechain, plus a De-Esser mode. Perfect for adding vintage tone to vocals, drums, and full mixes, it complements cleaner SSL emulations. It integrates seamlessly with SSL 360° and UC1/UF8 hardware. Ideal for hobby producers seeking classic console sound in their DAW.
